Tour Las Pistas Del Mapuche
One of the best. This tour is all about enjoying yourself in a country that knows it best. The lakes region of Argentina is the gateway to Patagonia . Once home to the mighty Mapuche Indians, the lakes region of Argentina still holds on to its native spirit with an enchanting welcome. Between the snow, wonderful foods and beautiful people, we find this 8 day tour to be one of our favorites.
The Tour de las Pistas de la Mapuche begins at the airport in San Carlos de Bariloche , Argentina . We will be spending 3 days skiing the magnificent jagged peaks of Cerro Catedral Ski Resort. Since the combination of both ski resorts, Robles and Alta Patagonia, in the November of 2003, this resort has become one of the most modern in South America . As a sister city to Aspen , Colorado , Bariloche is a splendid place where we will enjoy excellent meals out on the town and great skiing.
Next, we are off to spend a couple days in San Martin de Los Andes 4 hours north of Bariloche. We will be spending some of the afternoon driving up the magnificent Seven Lakes Route via Villa la Angostura. Through this mystical route we will be surrounded by massive lakes and mountains beyond compare. San Martin de Los Andes is home to Cerro Chapelco Ski Resort. Chapelco has it all. Great tree skiing and incredible stashes hidden on all sides of the ski area.
We will return via the Seven Lakes Route to Villa la Angostura for a couple days on the mountain at the Cerro Bayo Ski Resort. This ski area is a gem. With incredible views and great snow it is always a winner. Our warm and cozy lodging will be home for these last two nights.
Unfortunately, the trip will end on Saturday at the airport of San Carlos de Bariloche. We know you will be back. Hasta Pronto!
Note; The Las Pistas de la Mapuche Tour is all about comfort. The tour is designed for the skier or snowboarder looking to spend an enjoyable first class trip while enjoying incredible cuisine. Our goal with this tour is to provide an ‘all around Argentinean experience' while skiing some incredible terrain. Our prices for this tour are somewhat higher due to our commitment to comfort and excellence while enjoying this adventure.
